Wow things are really starting to pick up, you can definitely tell TV Pilot season has started. So, I've been getting some questions on twitter and facebook about if I'm working on any shows so I'm going to adress this first. Yes, at the moment I am working on a great TV series and having loads of fun. I can't tell you what show I'm working on yet, but I will say that it is a fantastic (newer) show, the cast is great and I'm really excited to be working on it. It's a great start to the New Year!    As I mentioned before Pilot season is starting to rear its lovely head. I heard that there are going to be a huge amount of pilots coming Vancouvers way (about 30) so things will be getting crazy soon. But crazy is very good in the acting busness, it keeps us actors on our toes ;) And to your questions--- Jennifer---How are you? I am doing very well, busy but great :) Astrid35728---Could you make a video of you doing sign language?  Well, I'm a little rusty but I'll see what I can do. I've been GREAT! This week has been crazy busy! I've been getting auditions and callbacks right and left. I'm doing grades 11 and 12 for school in one year so I've been working on that as well. I'm also really looking forward to the Olympics this July! There's 180 days til the big day in London, England. We'll be watching all the events on TV. I'm a big Olympic guy if you have'nt guessed. Swimming and diving are my favorite in the Summer Olympics and the snowboarding and speed skating are my fav for the Winter olympics. How about you guys?? I've been on stage this month! Been so busy I've barely had anytime to do anything but Shakespeare. But it was one of the funnest experiences I have had in a long while! The way the play worked was there was only eight actors and we each played many different characters. I played the tyrant Lord Capulet among others in Romeo and Juliet and I gotta tell you it was quite an experience to play Capulet. Last Saturday was our closing night and boy did we kill it! I was so very proud of my fellow actors and I think we really pulled together as an ensemble.  To your questions! Joey -- Thank you! I would love to have a series on the Disney Channel---it certainly would be fun :) Ummm, I think they are doing a third movie of Diary of a Wimpy Kid. Mysterious! -- Thank you, I was singing in the end of the film, but that wasn't me singing. And when I have some time here I'll throw up a video :) Mmm, To be a good actor or actress you really have to be able to know yourself so well that you can call upon memories and thoughts that can connect you to the feelings of the character you're playing. So, I guess being you is really what it takes---letting yourself be vulnerable. Spanky -- haha, I got some books and clothes for Christmas. Sorry, I have'nt been keeping you guys up to date on all the crazy adventures that happen in my life :D Alright, where to start... So, My birthday was awesome! Had a big party and celebrated into the night with friends and family. So now I'm 16, doesn't feel too different though, but I'm a little taller :) I've been focusing a lot on my school as I want to graduate a year early, so things have been quite hectic. But, I'm pushing through and soon it will be behind me, as every kid dreams ;) Also I've been training hard with Parkour, working on mastering the skills I know and expanding my tricking repertoire at the same time. So, I have aquired quite the array of bumps and bruises, but that is the cost of getting better so I don't mind. I gotta say, I really loved swimmimg but Parkour is really the best sport in the world. Haha, it was my cat's Birthday a few weeks ago! Sophie (my cat) turned six years young and she was still able to steal the bag of Temptations cat treats and run underneath my bed and eat them all ;) Now onto your questions :) Wanna be famous---Have I ever gone innertubing on a flying tube? How have you been doing? I’ve been doing really, really awesome! I don’t know about you guys but here in Van city, we’ve been having some beautiful weather. Summer is finally here and hopefully to stay. Yesterday, I was out golfing with the male members of my family and it was so nice outside, perfect for golfing. I’d have to say that I’m a pretty decent golf player if you don’t count the 6 puts it takes me to get into the hole, hahaha. It was a really fine day and everyone enjoyed themselves thoroughly. Even though I love the summer, I gotta say I am looking forward to when the gym opens up again in the fall. That’s because unfortunately, they don’t have classes/open gym during the summer. Even though I love the summer, I gotta say I am looking forward to when the gym opens up again in the fall. That’s because unfortunately, they don’t have classes/open gym during the summer. So, I guess I have to take the good with the bad, Parkour/Tricking with School classes.

Auditions, stand-up comedy, and summer planning. I got a couple of auditions this week for a Movie and TV series. So I’ll be hearing back about them really soon, I can’t wait! And you guys know that I’ve been doing the comedy classes over the last six weeks and Tuesday we had our final performance and I can tell you that it was so much fun. Each of the members of the class did a five minute set and then me and the instructor did a rap about the Canucks in the playoff’s. It was a lot of fun and I will post a video of the show on the website really soon. And as far as the summer planning, I’ve got a lot different things that I’m intending on doing this summer and I’m quite excited. One - I’m going to be going to Splash Down Waterslides. Two - I will be going to Play Land (like Disney Land, but a lot smaller) a lot this summer and it’s going to be so much fun. And three - I will be going Bowling, and playing tennis and golf. Mine was pretty busy. I had a couple auditions, school, my music and with this stand-up comedy class I’m taking ever Wednesday I’m doing a whole lot. The auditions I went out for were for TV shows. I’m also writing a couple short films that I plan to film this summer.  They're two totally different genres so I think that they will come out really different and fantastic in their own way. I’ve also been doing a ton of tricking and Parkour for the last couple of weeks every Monday. And I’m getting into the more difficult tricking and learning harder vaults. We also do a lot of conditioning at the end of the class, push-ups, sit-ups, and pull-ups. But the hardest thing that we’ve been doing is Machine Splits. For those of you who have been lucky enough to not have heard of this I’ll tell you. How it works is you sit against a wall and two people push your legs toward the wall, it makes you more flexible but it kills! And to your questions. Sandlot fan --- A weird /fun fact about me would be that I love reading books that have over 900 pages (If I like the book I'm reading of course). Mine was pretty eventful, I had a couple auditions and a call-back. The auditions were for a TV movie (can’t say the name but it was very cool) and for a big feature. It’s, untitled (so you can probably see why I can tell you the name of that one). Both of the auditions were in Vancouver and are filming relatively close to the Vancouver aria. Now the call-backs were last week and they were for the first audition, the TV movie, and I should be hearing if I made the cut today or tomorrow. So keep your fingers crossed. I also went to a Comedy intensive this week, so I can be a little bit funnier in my every day life, and maybe be a stand-up comic on the side as well. And at the end of the class we’re going to be going to a comedy house and perform our bits. I’m a little nervous but that will pass (hopefully). I’ll be going to my Parkour class again this week, and I can’t wait! It’s just so much fun to do, all the monkeying around and flipping. I’m surprised that the rest of the world hasn’t caught on yet. Sorry about not having a blog up in a while but I've been a little busy. I finished an acting intensive class last Friday, and it was amazingly helpful and I really enjoyed learning from Meredith (the instructor). At the end of the class we had a performance of what we were coached on. I know I told you guys that I was playing the role of Edward, but by the end of the third day of the course Meredith decided that she wanted us to do two scenes. So my second character was Angel, who is a vampire (kinda like Edward) from Buffy The Vampire Slayer. It was pretty cool to do a scene as him 'cause for the last couple of months me and my sister have been watching BUFFY on DVD. Now that's what I call ironic. Hahahahaha ;). Maybe I'll post my scenes on youtube. What do yah think? The showcase was great! Me and my fellow actors did a fantastic job together and it was really enjoyable. The same day, I went to a brand camp to find out my personal brand. It was very informative and I learned a lot. There was a sequel to the brand camp that was more one on one than the first class having only a few actors. I got a lot more information from the second class than the first and I can't wait to apply what I was taught about bringing your brand in the audition room with you. And everywhere you go!! Yahoo!! http://cainanwiebe.com/blog.cfm?feature=713694&postid=849918 Hey guys! Sorry, I haven’t been on in a while, I’ve been busy with acting and school. I’m sure that some of you have heard, either from my FB fan page or from Twitter that I was nominated for my role as Mike Jensen in 16 Wishes at this years Young Artist Awards. The category I was nominated for was Best Performance in a TV Movie, Mini-series, or Special. The event took place in Hollywood and it was amazing. The whole event was incredible!! And the fact that I won (yes, I did say that) made it all the better. I was a presenter too! I was also really excited to get to hang out with my LA friends and escape our not so good weather here in Vancouver for the incredible warmth of the California sun! Today, I started an acting intensive class, just to make sure that I’m still sharp and ready for auditions that come my way. Ironically, the script that I’m going to be working on throughout the week is Twilight. So, it will be a lot of fun to dive back into the character of a VAMPIRE. I’m playing the dark haired guy---you know the guy Edward or something. Tonight, I came back from doing a radio interview with Simon Fraser’s University radio CJSF 90.1fm. It was a lot of fun. The interview was mostly about the new movie I’m in called Sucker Punch. We talked a lot about the movie and about my acting career and where I want to go with it in the future. All and all it was a really fun night. Only one more sleep till Christmas! Unfortunately, this time there’s no snow on the ground to make it a white Christmas, but the feeling of the season is still in the air. Can you believe it? 2011 is just around the corner and with it brings a lot of good vibes and hopes for a great New Year. I had a lot of auditions this past week and it was a nice transition from relaxing on a cruiseship for two weeks. That's where I've been for about 18 days on airplanes and on the sea. Yes, me and my family were on vacation the last few weeks off in the Caribbean and Mexico. It was so awesome! Late night buffets, ice cream bars and everything you could want. It was so much fun, and I made a lot of great friends on board. And the winner of the question draw is… Noel---What is your all time fav movie? I’d have to say “AVATAR” (the blue people not the Last Air Bender) cause the story is awesome the cinematography is the greatest and the overall greatness of the movie is awesome awesome awesome. Mine was pretty great. I’m glad to say that things are getting busy on the acting front. A few things you might be interested in, 16 Wishes came out on DVD in November and you can get it from Amazon just go to my home page. Put it on your Christmas list! Next, I’m on TV in December. On December 25th , Christmas Day, tune into the Hub or Family channel to see me in the new kids series Haunting Hour Christmas special. It’s about…I can’t tell you, but it’s gonna great! Post your comments on my blog after you’ve seen it. I’m still keeping up with tricking, flipping and parkour. I go to the gym every week and work on my stuff. It’s big fun! I think in the New Year, I might also get back into martial arts, ’cause I’m a little out of shape. I got my black belt when I was 12 and I kind of want to get back in the game now that I’m taller, stronger and smarter. I’m thinking Kung Fu, Jackie Chan rocks in that department. Every time I turn around the signs of Christmas pop up everywhere. For starters, we had our first snow a few weeks ago in November, which was very exiting. We have 2 popular local radio stations both playing Christmas music 24/7 and they’ll keep playing Christmas music the whole month of December. Stores, businesses and restaurants are all decked in Christmas swag and 2 weeks ago it was freezing cold out (it’s like it’s winter or something…). I’m really hoping for a white Christmas this year, ah that reminds me I’ll be trying for the first time ever in my entire life…snowboarding. Tons of people tell me that I’m missing something by never have been snowboarding, so I’m going to find out what’s so great about it. When I first start out, I’m probably gonna fall down face first in the snow every few inches or so. Wish me luck!!
