Cainan is nominated in 3 separate categories for the 31st Young Artist Awards. Cainan will be heading to Hollywood once again to attend the prestigious ceremony. Cainan is nominated for Best Performance in a TV Movie, Mini-series or Special - Leading Young Actor for Beyond Sherwood Forest; Best Performance in a TV Series - Guest Starring Young Actor for Supernatural; and Best Performance in a Voice-Over Role - Young Actor for Dinosaur Train. Cainan was nominated for the 30th Young Artist Awards
in LA March 29th, 2009. This was Cainan's 2nd consecutive 
nomination. Congratulations Cainan!

Cainan
 was reunited with fellow actor Robin Dunne (Sanctuary) in Beyond Sherwood Forest directed by Peter DeLuise. Cainan played Gareth, one of the notorious Robin Hood Gang, in the many adventures of Robin Hood. Beyond Sherwood Forest aired as a TV feature November, 2009.

Cainan played a Russian immigrant with a lethal abnormality!

Cainan was in LA on March 30, 2008 where he also presented AnnaSophia Robb with
the award for Best Performance in a Feature Film-Young Ensemble Cast for
Bridge to Terabithia.

Sanctuary debuted May 2007 and was welcomed into the Guinness Book World Record 2008 
for the Highest Budget for a Direct-to-Web Broadcast. Congratulations All!!

Cainan is featured in the first four webisodes of Sanctuary. 
Cainan plays Alexei, a young Russian boy adopted by a poor immigrant family who are unaware of his mutant ability.

Cainan was seen in Japan---well not in 
person, but on Japan TV. 
Cainan's Got Milk? commercial was 
featured on a very popular game show 
in Japan. The contestant's had to guess 
what product was being advertised.

Filming

2009
Cainan's in the feature film Sucker Punch starring Vanessa Hudgens (High School Musical) & Emily Browning (Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events).

Cainan just finished filming The Twilight Saga: Eclipse in Vancouver.


Cainan is filming the feature film Diary of a Wimpy Kid based on the book of the same name by Jeff Kinney. Cainan plays Quentin; Greg's nemesis.

Cainan is
hosting and starring in a new 1/2 hour series this Fall. It's under raps for now, but we'll have more scoop for you soon! So stay tuned Cainan fans!! It's going to be awesome!!


Cainan
was just in another episode of Dinosaur Train. This time he played Todd a teenager Triceratops. Cool!

Cainan has just finished the Nickelodeon TV movie, The Boy Who Cried Werewolf. Cainan played a monster-movie expert and friend to Hunter when his family gets a surprise when they inherit a castle in Romania.

Cainan has a recurring role on the Jim Henson Company's Dinosaur Train as Derek the Deinonychus. Derek is a typical teenage boy (dinosaur) who trains in martial arts, but has a flair for drawing. The fun and educational, Dinosaur Train, airing September 7, 2009 on PBS.

Busy Fall for Cainan!

Cainan 
filmed another episode of Supernatural called "Afterschool Special." Cainan (Barry) was the nerd of the school and got picked on by the school bully. However, when young Sam transferred to the school, Barry had an unlikely ally. The episode aired January 2009.

Cainan
 filmed 3 weeks on Robin Hood: Beyond Sherwood. Cainan plays Gareth, one of Robin Hood's merry men. The TV feature stars Robin Dunne (Sanctuary) as Robin Hood, Erica Durance (Smallville) as Maid Marion and Robin's Gang: Mark Gibbons (Merlin's Apprentice) as Little John, Cainan Wiebe (The Sandlot: Heading Home) as Gareth and Richard de Klerk (Cole) as Will.

Cainan
 filmed an episode on Supernatural. He played a bully who is later victimized by his victim. Dean (Jensen Ackles) steps in to intervene and in doing so helps out both kids.

Cainan guest starred in one of the last episodes of season 2 of The Guard  TV seriesCainan plays Joshua, the youngest in a family whose members have been severely injured in an accident but whose love for each other inspires strength and courage...

Cainan vs. George Lopez in the untitled George Lopez project. Cainan will be reunited with director Bill Dear (Sandlot: Heading Home) as he plays a slimeballer who captures Eddie (George Lopez) at a weekend Jamboree.



Cainan, back on the set of Sanctuary! Cainan reprised his role as Alexei in the 2hr Premiere Episode of Sanctuary the TV Series.
Sanctuary the TV series includes the same characters but the story has changed a little. We delve deeper into the events and characters of Sanctuary.

Cainan played the lead character along side William B. Davis (X-Files) in the baseball short, A Pickle. Cainan plays Charlie, a young boy who begins a relationship with a retired detective after he smashes a baseball through his window. Produced & Directed by Award Winner Karen Nielsen (Perceptions).

Cainan was in the studio recording another BC Eggs spot and doing ADR for Robson Arms & Tin Man.

Summer 2007

Cainan played the role of Isaac, Juliet's nephew on the TV series Psych (NBC).

Cainan filmed the TV series Robson Arms. He played Bobbie, a very poor Italian boy in a dream sequence. Cainan can be seen in the 1st episode of Season 3 of Robson Arms on CTV.

As well, Cainan finished an ADR session for the feature Snow Buddies and gave an insightful interview for a Canadian documentary (not yet titled) about the film industry.
